Food, Love & Family

For an Italian I Am Love-themed dinner at Del Posto, I created more than a dozen vegetable and fruit topiaries that served double duty as both centerpieces and table markers. Dinner guests found Pomegranate or Sage written en Italiano at the mossy entrance table and then found their way to their seats via centerpiece.

Kristi Head did the floral arrangements in milk glass and designed the beautiful invitations. After dinner, she and I ended up at the Rusty Knot where our bartender turned out to be the calligrapher... full circle. All photos by Guy Ambrosino, except the last

Good Night

Spoils of the trade. I love my mini-bouquet of leftovers after a long day's work doing another HSN holiday presentation (Christmas in October). Sweet Dreams...

Foundry Wedding-LIC

Mediterranean-themed wedding at the beautiful The Foundry in Long Island City with Silkstone. Lots of herbs, lemon, and yellow flowers. Loved the lemons at placecard holders.

My first Wedding cake decorating, was a bit last-minute but I think it looks alright.

Christmas in July-HSN Styling

Brenton and I had 48 hours to transform the HSN New York offices into a winter wonderland in the middle of July. They had over 200+ celebrity ornaments that we displayed on spray-painted branches.

Went to visit my friend Lina who is working in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Discovered a charming culture: lushness galore, amazing food, and wonderful people.

Nova's Ark Wedding

I worked with Brenton Wolf this weekend on our first wedding with Silkstone Events at the lovely Nova's Ark sculpture garden in Water Mill, LI. The theme was very rustic and down-to-earth. Our biggest challenge was to keep all the florals from getting blown away by the wind. The centerpieces were window boxes stuffed with herbs, peonies, and snowball hydrangea. They set off the seasonal menu very nicely.

Easter Egg Hunt

My friend Lola hosted an Easter Egg hunt in her garden, and I was lucky enough to find the golden easter egg. My talented friend Kameron designed ginger bitters cocktails with Peeps on lemongrass stalks.

Spacing out...

Starting working with floral designer Brenton Wolf on creating some looks for the Renaissance Hotel botanical guides. Here is a dried arrangement that reminds of moons orbiting a planet.

TET-Year of the Tiger

My friends at Viet resto An Choi asked me to do the Tet (Lunar New Year) decorations. I hung some firecracker light and tassels among the cables and we set the tables with red envelopes. Top photo courtesy of Opening Ceremony website.
